‘Tis the season for Christmas pictures! And here are a few of my favorites from a great shoot with the Holliday family Sunday afternoon.
I love my job. =)
Thanks for being so much fun you guys!
This is my nephew. Isnt he darling? Although, seriously little man, it’s okay to smile once in a while. Life is good I promise. 😉
Anyway I took some baby pictures of him on our visit.
He has real, honest to goodness, legit, vulcan ears. I love them so much!
Darling Travis, may you grow up to be a lion chaser and a dragon slayer and may you always be a might man of valor. I am cheering for you and I love you.
A lovely fall family shoot in beautiful North Carolina last weekend with my little brother and his gorgeous wife and precious little.
This little man is so adorable it’s ridiculous. And I would say that even if I wasnt his Aunt!
Thanks for sharing your family with us, Gabriel. Love you all very much.
God and I were talking about life today. And when I say “talking” I actually mean that I was complaining about uncertainty and all the never ending changes in life and how much I dont like change. He told me that I needed to stop letting the waves shatter me, and instead learn how to sail my ship.
This quote came to mind.
It’s really is true, my friends. Dont let the winds blow you away… just learn to adjust the sails.
Oh, and stay beautiful.
This is Nicole, she was another intern and my roommate for two weeks at IPS in Colorado. She’s also gorgeous, and brilliant, and a lot of fun to be around, and a fantastic photographer too. I really enjoyed getting to hang out with her for a couple weeks.
One afternoon while we were at Garden of the Gods I snapped a few pictures of her while the students were on assignment. It’s ridiculously easy to take pictures of this girl… not even kidding.
And besides that, her middle name is Eliänna… seriously? Can she get any more awesome?
Thanks friend, for putting up with me for weeks, for making me smile, and for making the world better by being in it.
You can check out her work at Elianna Studios
This is my friend Chrissy.
While I was in Colorado I got to see her and hang out for the weekend. It was pretty awesome. We had a lot of adventures, got a little lost 😉 and ate yummy food and just hung out. In all the times I’ve been to Colorado I’ve never been to Seven Falls, neither had she so we had an adventure.
That’s a whole lot of stairs.
Hello fall, I love you.
This fella decided to join us for lunch.
There were a million and one signs telling people to visit the gravesite of this famous author. We never heard of her.
Nice view though.
I have a lot of pretty friends. This girl is incredible, and beautiful, and my life is so much better for knowing her.
It was lovely and perfect and I really want to go back.
A couple weeks ago I had the privilege of interning at the photography school that I attended last spring and fall, IPS. It was a fantastic experience and I wouldnt have traded it for anything.
The first course was Prizewinning Photography 1, September 17-21 and here are some of the shots and places I took in that week.
Morgan and Rachel getting some shots out on assignment.
Rebekah J. getting some waterfall action.
Lovelies Alyce and Bekah.
Rachel and Blythe being… well, Rachel and Blythe.
[ love these two ]
Andie was one of the instructors for the week, she is wonderful and I really enjoyed the opportunity to get to hang out with her.
Nicole was the other intern and my awesome roommate. She is amazing, smart, and gorgeous… if I didnt love her so much I would probably hate her. 😉
Holly and Morgan.
I love Colorado, and fall, and flowers. That’s all.
One of many trips down into Manitou for custard… it’s a tradition. 🙂
Custard with Buddie… which was planned a long time ago. 🙂
Wilkerson Pass for a sunset shoot.
It was freezing. And high. And freezing.
Rachel and I ended up being there at the same time which wasnt planned, just how it worked out, but it was very much enjoyed at least by me. 😉 She is awesome and incredible and did an amazing job all week… and I loved having her around. This girl is a gift that I dont take for granted and she makes my life so much better by being in it.
Kristin, Rachel, and I all attended two programs in Dallas together called Excel and Advanced Excel. So here we are… shouting out to the rest of AE17 from the top of the world! 😉
[ okay, not quite the top, but we were really high! ]
Andie and I. She’s getting married this weekend. I’m super happy for her.
Andie, you’re perfect, may your ever after be equally so. I hope our stories cross again sometime. I like you a lot. =)
Well those were some highlights from the first week, second week soon to follow!
It was a lovely sunny Saturday in Colorado Springs and I got to hang out with my friend Madi and my buddie Rach. Madi is a photographer over at Madison Kiley Photography and so she is usually on the other side of the camera, but we decided to change that. 😉
We did a rather spontaneous mini shoot in the afternoon and these are the results. This girl is both beautiful and incredible and I am so happy I got to hang out with her for a weekend. I love you, Madison Kiley. Thanks for being my awesome friend.
She is gorgeous. End of story.
This was yesterday. Mostly spent at the airport, killing time without internet and enjoying solitude.
After over two and a half weeks in Colorado, I’m heading back to Oklahoma. The time spent here has been wonderful, and I loved all the adventures, new friendships, and getting to see some of my favorite people.
Spent the weekend with my good friend Chrissy and then she dropped me off at the airport. She is incredible and her friendship has meant a lot to me all the time I have known her. More posts on our adventures later.
The TSA has a new rule that you cant check your baggage until up to 4 hours before your flight so I got to hang out outside the gate for a couple hours.

It’s a dumb rule.
The Piano Guys album was released today.
Life became bearable again.
I recently purchased a macro lens adapter for my camera so I played around with it for an hour or so. This is the carpet.
Detail on the inside of my camera bag.
This fly totally posed.
TOMS shoe material.
My camera strap.
[ from where I sit now]
So I hung out with all my stuff and my Piano Guys music and a fantastic autobiography by Katie Davis of Uganda called Kisses From Katie.
To be honest, I’m not very patient.
Once they finally let me in I dumped my suitcase and ate lunch, then on to coffee and shortbread, two of my most favorite things. I love Caribou Coffee, and especially their slogan: “Life is short. Stay awake for it. What do you stay awake for?”
Kind of makes you think… what do you stay awake for?
Today I stay awake for: Wandering around airports, foamy lattes and crumbly shortbread, extensive conversations with strangers, the Piano Guys, sunshine through window panes, and hours spent reading and photo editing.
Oh. Journaling too.
Pascal. Ever faithful travel buddy. No trip complete without him. 😉
Firstly, I love Southwest. Secondly, last view of the majestic Colorado Rockies. I will miss them very much.
British tea and an inflight magazine about photography.

On arrival in OKC my Buddie, Rachel picked me up and we’re going to hang out a bit.
Yeah. It’s been a pretty good day. 🙂
