Mitchell & Smith : Best Day Ever

Last Saturday was a beautiful day for a fall wedding in Oklahoma and Taylor and Jacob made the most of it and said “I do till eternity!” to each other with their families and closest friends around them to cheer them on.

I’m so grateful to have been a part of their first day of forever. Here is just a sneak peek of their gorgeous and perfect “Best Day Ever!” untitled-1

Congratulations, Jacob and Taylor! May this be the beginning of all the best years of your life!

Stay beautiful,

Jimmy the Adventurer!

Had an awesome time with this little guy and his grandparents last weekend. We hung out on an airfield and inside this fantastic hanger with an odd dozen planes ranging from WWII to modern! Jimmy loves to fly, loves OSU, and loves his grandparents. It was really fun to be able to capture such a big part of Jimmy’s life and personality; here are just a few of the shots from our session!

Keep ’em flyin’ Jimmy!

Danny loves Beka

Winter is in full swing here in Oklahoma but there are a few days of truly beautiful weather sprinkled in for variety from the cold and that was exactly the type of day we had for this engagement shoot. I had such a fun time getting to know Danny and Beka a little better and I can’t wait for their wedding in March!

Starks Family Shoot : 2013

“They came to see that family need not be defined merely as though with whom we share blood, but as those for whom we would give our blood.” – Nicholas Nickleby

Meet the Starks family! Had such a great time the other evening out on shoot with these cool people. I’m so grateful for you guys, for your laugher and your fellowship, and for always being my home away from home.

Stay beautiful,

Olsen Family Shoot : 2013

Someone once said, “You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”

Well that is certainly true for this awesome family that I got to hang out with the other night. Meet the Olsen crew!  This family is such a tremendous encouragement to me and I absolutely loved getting to hang out with them and a chance to document their story.

So without any further ado, here is Nate, Angie, Gavin, Jaden, and Elijah!

Mark loves Jillian : Married 2 Years

Jillian and Mark were married on November 11 two years ago and to celebrate, we found a beautiful park with incredible fall colors and had a lovely mini shoot.

I had a wonderful time with this very sweet and in-love couple, thanks for making it so much fun Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins! May you be blessed with many years of joy and grace.

Stay beautiful,

Travis Gabriel

Once upon a time my little brother had a son… and this little baby boy completely, utterly, and masterfully stole all the pieces of my heart.

Travis, you are wonderful, and you are loved. Never ever forget it.

Stay incredible,
~Auntie Alaina

Tom and Dee : Married 28 Years

This was a very special shoot for several reasons, one that it was to celebrate that this couple has stuck together for 28 whole years, and second, they’re my parents, and third, they both went on a diet this year and lost 40 pounds between them. They look pretty good, don’t you think? =)

Thanks for such a beautiful and fun evening, Mom and Dad, I love you and I am very proud of you!

Life Day : 2013

Today is Life Day

It’s the day that I am grateful to be alive. It’s the day that I am grateful for all the wonderful things and people and experiences and circumstances in my life. It’s the day that I didn’t die.

Now don’t misunderstand me, I am grateful for these things on other days too, but this is a special day because two years ago on this day I was in a wreck that I technically shouldn’t have been able to walk away from, but I did. In fact, I not only walked away but was visibly unmarked aside from a small bruise on the inside of my lip from the airbag giving me a palm strike to my face.

Now today was a pretty typical Saturday. I went to the store with Mum. I vacuumed my room and I cleaned the bathroom and I made dinner for my family. Nothing extraordinary, except for… well, it is. All of that is extraordinary. When I was at the store this morning I noticed a lady shopping that had no legs. I could have no legs. There is no reason in the world that my legs shouldn’t have been crushed along with the entire front end of my dad’s car. I’m so grateful I still have legs and can do all of those perfectly “ordinary” things.

This year I went on adventures. I made tons of new friends all over the world. I have a brand new stamp in my passport. I met my nephew and cuddled him. I built relationships and am convinced that I have the most incredible friends on the planet. I sat and listened to beautiful music. I learned new things. I looked at the stars. I swam in two different oceans. I hugged people. I felt the sun warm my skin. I talked about life and truth and my amazing Heavenly Father. I had my family.

I’m so grateful for all of that.

I am determined that I will always be grateful for all these things I have been so blessed with today, just in case there comes a day when I don’t have some of them anymore.

Happy Life Day.

Stay beautiful,

Hello everyone,
